Graduate Hotel Evanston Illinois: Part of the Graduate Hotel chain – this boutique hotel is located in an old Inn and the decor is reminiscent of that. Plaid, florals, and rich textures are found all over the interiors, and the downstairs restaurant feels like a classic diner or supper club. Their special attraction here is the Home Alone suite.

We stayed in both a regular room at the Home Alone Suite. The regular room was cozy and beautiful and comfortable – we always prefer a Graduate Hotel to a cookie cutter chain. The Home Alone Suite was so fun – LOTS of decor that is from the movie or similar, plus they have a real VHS player in the room where you can re-watch the classic film. Honestly such a great trip for fans of the movie!! Not far from the hotel you can actually see the Home Alone house – and even though you can’t go inside, you can complete the theme experience by getting a photo outside. Highly recommend it – and if your kids haven’t seen the movie yet this is a great place to take them to see it!
