Commack Motor Inn: A vintage motel with heart shaped tubs and surprisingly well maintained rooms designed in what appears to have been the 80’s. Known for their 3-hour ‘short stay’ option, this place has quite the reputation for being a seedy love motel.

This place was such a fun surprise. I rarely get to see vintage rooms that are in such good condition, especially when they’re just at a basic roadside motel. Be aware they ask for a $200 cash deposit that you get back at check out if the room looks good. Now that I think about it, that’s probably what keeps the rooms in such good shape!!

It’s definitely well maintained for its age, but it’s still a motel so don’t get your hopes up for something too fancy. Fun for an afternoon but I wouldn’t choose it for an overnight. And maybe bring those bleach wipes!
Favorite Room: The room with the heart tub and heart-shaped golden yellow bed.
